so when I say everyday I mean the days when I have a little bit more energy to actually put makeup on but not enough energy to go full-on-glam, this is how it goes…
So I start off often with my base. To my boyfriends despise I like to steal his ‘Nivea for Men’ moisturiser, to moisturise and prime my face. I find this is such a good base for my makeup as it smoothens my face and reduces the visibility of any pores.
Now for makeup, I start with my foundation. I like to use the Revlon colour stay for normal to dry skin, I use the shade 150 ‘buff’ which is such a beautiful colour but only matches me when I wear fake tan (ginger problems). To apply this I like to use a beauty blender, any will do. To set my foundation I use the Rimmel stay matte pressed powder in 001 transparent to ensure my foundation stays on during long days. I find my ‘duo-fiber face brush’ by real techniques works best for this as the brush is fluffy which means that little product is added and you don’t end up cakey.
Next I like to contour, I use a real techniques brush again to do this but this time the ‘duo-fiber contour brush’ this is another fluffy brush meaning the bronzer is easily blended out. I use a Barry M bronzer to do this, I am unsure of the name of this product though. I highlight using a mac highlighter with a brush that my mum got me from France, I don’t know the same of this either.
My favourite part is my eyebrows. I comb them through with an eyebrow brush and then begin to fill them in with a dupe of the Anastasia dip brow from a brand name freedom in the shade chocolate and an angled brush by real techniques.
To finish off this very basic look I add some black mascara to my top and bottom lashes, the mascara I have been loving lately is the L’oreal miss baby roll. Then I use the all nighter setting spray by urban decay.
